SpaceLab Detroit | Co-Working Space

SpaceLab LLC offers a shared office and co-working community in Detroit’s Financial District, set to house new and veteran entrepreneurs. SpaceLab aims to provide working space with building industry professionals in mind – architects, interior designers, builders, engineers, and real estate professionals.
To meet the needs of this specialized market, CDS developed a contemporary space with suitable technology and programming. The design includes a design library, large format plotting, copy center, and event space for educational and networking events, as well as private offices and conference rooms.
On top of building information modeling (B.I.M.), the project gave CDS an opportunity to explore the possibilities of virtual reality in space model presentation to the owner. The firm created its first VR tour, successfully conveying the spacial experience to the owner prior to construction.
